Never disappoints! Excellent food and service. Highly recommended. Don't let the bad reviews turn you away from this Restaurant. Salad bar was on point. Fried mushrooms were great. We had my all time favorite beer battered fried shrimp with steamed veggies. And fried Catfish with loaded potato. We have never had a bad experience here.
Good food at excellent prices. Both meals were under 20.00 you get the salad bar. Alot of food for the money. We even had left overs. If we are ever in Mid West City again we will visit Pelican's
Had a wonderful get together with about 40 friends at the bar and on the Patio. Sirloin was excellent. Always the best salad bar.
Run, do t walk to Pelican’s! :) I’m visiting from Texas and I was in the mood for seafood. I saw Pelican’s and I’m so glad that I went. I got the Fisherman’s Platter with two crab cakes and shrimp scampi with mixed vegetables, soup and salad. I ordered it to go and this will be about two meals for me (I am a small woman though lol). It was all delicious! The staff were all very nice and seemed happy to help with anything. I had several questions for the young lady that took my order and she went above and beyond for me the entire time. I waited in the bar while my food was being prepared and I spoke with a gentleman who actually works there but was spending his time patronizing the place on his day off. The bartender was knowledgeable and attentive to his guests despite the fact that it looked like he was busy with side work. These are all very good markers of a great restaurant. As a former service industry worker myself, I’ve worked for places that I barely wanted to show up for a shift for, let alone spend my personal time and money there lol. I learned that Pelican’s has been in business since the early 80s! It definitely shows in the quality of service, the staff, the environment, and the food! Even the other patrons there seemed pleased and happy to be there. They also make the food from scratch and you can tell. I appreciate the effort that went into making sure that my food was the best and that my needs were met for the entire visit. I will absolutely be coming back to Pelican’s to try something different and have some more great conversation in a great environment. I wish I was staying longer so I could come back every day until I leave lol. I’ve already told my family about the place so hopefully they check it out and are just as satisfied as I was!
I've been here several times with my partner and each time we've had a great experience. Their lunch and early bird specials are awesome, and the seafood has always been delicious. The salad bar is great with many options and fresh ingredients. The servers have always given us great service and a great impression. When we want a nice date night to celebrate or just enjoy each other's company over a quality meal, we love to go here.
Great food and service. I usually do the salad bar... there are always two soups to choose from. The lettuce is always fresh and crisp, with lots of toppings. The fried shrimp with baked potato is always spot on! Nato was our waiter, and he was very attractive. Tell 'em Wade Carter recommended him and the restaurant.
Chill restaurant with really good food, salad bar has all the toppings you could possibly ask for on a salad. Great service as well.
It was really delicious!! Staff was extremely friendly and patient. I had a ton of questions and they were all so nice and helpful. The waitor went above and beyond to take care of my wife and I. They gave us a lot of privacy and seemed to always show up at just the right time to get us taken care of. The salad bar was delicious and the soup was amazing. None of our main food was over cooked it was all spot on and delicious!
